If you are an Apple fan, and you like all its ecosystem, to the point that you only buy original accessories, you will have realized that The apple keyboard has no light On its keys, so, using it at night, or with little light, is complicated.
And, we could understand an economic product, but when we talk about a model that is worth between 17 and 200 euros, the thing changes, because for that price, less than having made light, right? Anyway, it does not bring it, and today we are going to see the possible reasons and its alternative.
Why don't Magic Keyboard have light?
Although the question does not have an obvious answer, and it would be necessary to ask its developers, we can indicate the 3 most likely points that give rise to this situation, although, as we said, it seems to us that, for the price, at least it should have it.
- Battery life: Righting consumes additional energy, which would reduce the autonomy of the keyboard. By dispensing with this function, the time of use between loads is extended, which can reach several months, depending on it.
- Design and portability: Adding light to your keys could increase the thickness and weight of the keyboard, affecting its thin and light design, something for which Apple always bets.
- Production cost: Including this function would increase manufacturing costs, which could be reflected in a higher sale price (something that we do not see logical, but we have to comment).
It may, together, be good excuses, although, honestly, there are very similar keyboards in half of the price that do take back back, so it seems to us an Apple strategy simply for selling with greater margins and avoiding more production and design costs.

There are more, however, at the level of quality and price ratioas well as a similar design, this keyboard of the perxx brand is very compact, beautiful, and above all, with light. The price, today, is between 6 and 7 times lower than Apple's, so we will not only save a few euros, but we can have several for the same cost as the Magic Keyboard, and, in addition, backlit.
It is true that, at the level of autonomy, final design, or quality of the materials, the Apple's will be superior, but, unless we overcome the money and we do not want the light in them, it does not compensate, and that I always add the official products, but, in this case, they do not give us the option of even paying more for another model, and we only have the one that the company wants to buy, and that it will not always adapt to our needs.
