If you are an Apple user, you have surely used Apple Fitness+ at some point, especially since it is free for the first few months, with its free trial, so, even if you have never paid for the service, you will know it minimally.
However, the majority of users, especially those with a native Spanish language, have not renewed the plan, because all the videos in the catalog are only in English, and although they have subtitles, it is not the same, since on YouTube and other platforms, there are alternatives in more languages, and without paying. However, this could change in a few days.
Apple Fitness+ with videos in Spanish and more languages
Apple has decided to give a big push to Apple Fitness+ and make it reach many more people. Starting December 15the service will be available in 28 new countries and regions, meaning it will operate in almost 50 different locations around the world. For many users this is good news, because until now they simply couldn't use Fitness+ even if they had an iPhone or an Apple Watch, just because they lived in the “wrong country.”
But the expansion is not just about maps and borders. One of the most important changes has to do with the language. Apple is going to start offering many workouts and meditation sessions with voices digitally dubbed into other languages, including Spanish. This is key, because until now most classes were in English and, even if there were subtitles, it was not the same. Following a workout while reading the screen is uncomfortable and makes you lose your rhythm. Listening to instructions in your own language makes the experience much more natural and easier, especially when you are tired or focused on the exercise. Furthermore, Apple is not going to stop there: they will be adding new dubbed sessions every week, just like until now, but also in Spanish.
Another striking novelty has to do with music. Fitness+ adds K-Pop as a new musical genre within training. It may not be something you're excited about, but music is very important in training, and many users will also appreciate this change. A style that motivates you can make the difference between giving up after ten minutes or finishing the session wanting more. Having more musical variety helps each person find workouts that best fit their tastes, especially when the catalog begins to be so broad that there is room for everything.
In terms of content, the service remains essentially the same. There are strength training, HIIT, yoga, pilates, dance, cycling, kickboxing and also meditation sessions. Classes can last from just five minutes to 45, which is great whether you're short on time or fancy a more comprehensive session. It doesn't matter if you are just starting to train or if you have been doing it for a while, there are options designed for different levels, even within the same video.
In short, Apple wants its Fitness+ service to work once and for all, and not only in English-speaking countries, so it will try to improve it in several points, so that we give it a chance again, and who knows, we might not be able to get away from it, and we love it.
