We have already seen the first beta of iOS 26.3, but we still have quite a few left before the official release of this version, which is quite interesting, especially due to the stability it provides us in the system, making all models work without problems.
That is why, today, we will also see the newssince, the day it comes out, many will be pending and undecided about whether to install it or not, so knowing what it brings is important to prepare our iPhones for it.
What we will see in iOS 26.3
iOS 26.3 is not one of those updates that changes everything at once, but it does add several things that, on a day-to-day basis, can be quite useful. Apple is making adjustments mainly to make the iPhone a little more flexible, especially in Europe, and to improve details that were previously quite closed.
- Transfer data from iPhone to Android (and vice versa): One of the most striking new features is that it will now be much easier to switch from iPhone to an Android mobile. With iOS 26.3, Apple adds a tool to transfer photos, videos, messages, contacts, notes and more, without having to install weird apps or do complicated things. The idea is that you put the two phones nearby and follow a few simple steps.
- Notifications on watches other than Apple Watch: Until now, if you had a smartwatch from another brand, you were quite limited. With this version, iOS will allow other watches or bracelets to receive notifications directly from the iPhone. Of course, it can only be used with one device at a time, and if you activate this, notifications will not reach the Apple Watch at the same time.
- Connect headphones more easily: In the European Union, Apple is forced to open its system a little more. For this reason, iOS 26.3 allows headphones and accessories from other brands to connect almost the same as AirPods: you bring them close to the iPhone and a window appears to quickly pair them, without entering menus.
- Better compatibility with third-party accessories: In addition to Bluetooth, there are improvements to make other devices work better with the iPhone, such as fast Wi-Fi connections or new options related to NFC. It's not something everyone will notice, but it helps make the iPhone less closed off.
- Small changes to wallpapers: Apple has also taken the opportunity to better organize the background gallery and add some new ones related to the weather. It's nothing spectacular, but it's appreciated.
In short, iOS 26.3 is not going to be the best update for the iPhone, but it does make it a little more comfortable and open. It is an update designed more to polish things and adapt to new rules than to surprise us (for this iOS 26.4 should arrive with improvements in Apple Intelligence), but many of these things are noticeable with daily use.
And you, are you one of those who installs the new version of iOS when it comes out, or do you wait for others to do so and see the first opinions about bugs, battery consumption, etc.? Leave us a comment.
