Apple is preparing new versions of the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs equipped with M4 chips, as well as an update to the 10.9-inch iPad, likely named iPad 11.

After introducing its iPhone 16 and Apple Watch 10, Apple is also expected to refresh the MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac, and iPad mini at a keynote in October, and it would make sense for a new low-cost iPad to be introduced at the same time. However, the start of panel shipments in October suggests that this 11th-generation iPad may not be ready for the event.
Regarding the MacBook Air, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicated that the new models equipped with M4 chips would arrive during the first quarter of 2025. He took advantage of the news of the day to assure that the delivery date of the displays in October corroborates an official launch in early 2025.
October shipping of displays is unusual for the iPad, so we’re not sure what Ross Young said really applies to that model. Currently, rumors are pointing to an October event that will introduce at least a few new Macs and iPads. Remember that the M4 chip is currently only in the 2024 iPad Pro, Apple’s thinnest device ever.
