We all know that Siri It is not currently what they promised us, and that the Apple assistant is staying behind his competitors, such as chatgpt or geminis. However, it seems that all this could change soon, or so that an employee of the company tells us.
Apparently, the update that the company is preparing, will be better than we believe, so the jump, instead of being gradual, could be much bigger, and surprise us with a really interesting AI, although all this is about to see.
Siri will be much better than we believe
Craig Federight, senior vice president of Software Engineering in Apple, revealed in an internal meeting that Siri is being completely rebuilt with a new architecture. This review will allow a much more significant update of what Apple had originally planned, offering the user something similar to what you can find in other systems and companies, or that is what they intend.
Federight said: “This revamp from Siri from extreme to extreme has placed us in a position not only to deliver what is announced, but an update much larger than we imagine,” highlighting the seriousness of the project.
The cause of delays was an initial hybrid architecture that did not meet the expected quality standards. Now Apple opts for a new “end-to” system to improve their capacities in the integrated in Siri, although we do not know the time that will take them to really implement it.
The complete launch of the new Siri is planned for the spring of 2026, possibly coinciding with iOS 26.4, after several post-WWDC 2024 delays. However, this is an estimate, and as it happened, it could be back again, and that everything is in a simple rumor.
Apple has been reassessing resources.
