New AirPods 5 and AirPods Pro 4
Apple already has a new generation of headphones on its hands. According to the most recent leaks (provided by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman), he is preparing both new AirPods Pro as expected AirPods 5and both could release the chip H3. This new processor would serve to improve sound quality, reduce latency and make the wireless connection faster and more stable, even though it is currently already very good. Apple wants the leap in quality to be noticeable, and not just a version released without further ado.
If we talk about the AirPods 5, everything indicates that, like the current ones, we will have two versions, one cheaper, and another with more features (possibly with noise reduction). However, neither of the two models will have health measurement tools, since these are designed for the Pro versions, thus differentiating one from the other, and preventing people who do not need this from paying more for it.
The next AirPods Pro, in addition to incorporating the H3 chipcould include new features such as infrared cameras to detect gestures in the air. It would be a way to control music or interact with other devices, even with the Apple Vision Pro, without having to touch anything. Small gestures in the air could be used to change songs or adjust the volume (although we'll see how they end up working).
Everything indicates that these new models will still take a while to arrive, however, They would probably come out in 2026while models like the AirPods 5 were not expected, at least, until 2027. Apple seems determined to take a big step in its audio line. If the H3 chip delivers what it promises, the AirPods Pro could become the most complete to date, while the AirPods 5 would be the ideal alternative for those looking for good quality without paying so much.
