Macrumors shared a filtration of August 14, 2025 (the original source was published from the «Yeux1122» account in the Naver blog in Korean), which apparently shows the chassis of the iPhone 17 Pro completely made in aluminum. Even the camera block seems to be carved in the same piece, leaving behind the style of the 16 PRO, which had the glass rear and a separate camera module. The result is a cleaner and more solid design, without so many unions, with a simpler and more elegant aspect. In the photos, everything looks more uniform and soft, without so many changes of material in sight, although all this is to be officially seen.
What does Apple win with this? First, the weightsince aluminum is lighter than titanium, so the phone would feel less heavy without losing that quality feeling. Second, the temperaturebecause aluminum helps heat to disperse better, and together with an internal cooling system could keep the chip fresh even in games, video recording or intense use.
