Honor has made official the MagicOS 10 rollout based on Android 16along with a staggered calendar and an extensive list of supported devices. The update focuses on YOYO and the new AI functionsa renewed interface and improvements in connectivity between mobile, tablet and laptop. If you have a recent Honor mobile, it is very likely that you will receive the OTA in the coming months.
Deployment will begin in October 2025 and will extend until the first quarter of 2026. The first devices to be updated will be the latest foldables and flagships; Then it will be the turn of the high-end range from previous years, tablets and, finally, several mid-range families. What's new in MagicOS 10 and how to check the OTA update?
Beyond the calendar, MagicOS 10 comes with relevant changes: YOYO expands its functions as an assistant with new actions that are executed in real time and a dedicated button in recent models; there is visual settings in icons, widgets and animations; and reinforce the security and the integration between devices (transfers and continuity between mobile, tablet and PC). There are also performance improvements to the system architecture and new camera and multimedia options.
To check if there is an update, you can go to Settings > System and updates > Software update. If your model is listed in each phase, you should receive a notification when the update is available in your region. As usual, first there will be limited lots and, after a few days, it will be expanded to more users.
Is it worth waiting for MagicOS 10?
If you come from MagicOS 8/9, the jump is interesting because Android 16the new AI features and continuity improvements between devices. In practice, you should notice a system more fluid and with useful tools for day to day. The key is that the calendar is well defined: you just have to wait your turn and update when it is available.
