Apple has let out, indirectly, a confirmation that many expected, the next vision pro will arrive with the new chip M5. The track has appeared in the internal code of the company, and although it has not been officially announced, it has been discovered by Aaron Perris. So far there was some confusion around this issue, since Ming-Chi Ku The new model would use the M5while Mark Gurman opted for an M4, the same one that the last Macbook Air and iPad Pro. With this filtration, the balance is clearly leaning towards the most powerful option, although that can give us clues about when they will arrive, because if it is an M4, it could be almost imminent, however, the one that they use a chip that has not yet come out in any product, could tell us that we still have time to see them.
Out of this processor update, it does not seem that the vión pro will suffer a radical redesign in other aspects. Everything indicates that it will maintain the same, as well as much of the current model hardware, although it could arrive with an improved strap to make it more comfortable in long sessions. It is not a spectacular change, but one that many users would appreciate, especially considering that one of the most commented points of the first model was precisely ergonomics and weight, although this second may be more difficult to solve, especially in a PRO model.
The M5 chip, in addition to promising a remarkable leap in powershould offer better performance in artificial intelligence, multitasking and immersive content tasks, as well as a greater thermal efficiency. In practice, this means less warming, more fluidity in demanding applications and, potentially, something More autonomywhich never hurts. This would also give Apple, margin to improve its vision catalog, which is something short, as well as refine production and prepare campaigns that encourage more people to make the leap to mixed reality (hopefully with countries like Spain among them).
